Some mornings feel heavier than others.
There are days when the dream feels far away, the to-do list feels overwhelming, and the future seems filled with more questions than answers. In those moments, it’s easy to believe that we need everything figured out before we move forward.
But faith has been teaching me something different. Faith rarely begins with having all the answers. More often, it begins with taking the next step.
The Story Behind the Song: When a Comment Became a Mirror
This song was born from a beautiful, unexpected moment of connection. A few days ago, I was quietly scrolling through the comments on one of my YouTube reflections about faith. I usually expect the standard notes of encouragement, but one specific comment stopped me completely in my tracks.
A woman in our community shared raw lyrics about what it truly felt like to keep going when life was heavy and uncertain. She described the simple, disciplined act of placing her feet on the ground each morning, waking up with God’s grace, and stubbornly holding onto His promises even when the path ahead was dark.
As I read her words, a wave of recognition hit me. I didn’t just understand what she meant—I felt it. It reminded me of a phrase I’ve said many times:
“As long as my feet hit the ground, God has given me another opportunity.”
I saw my own reflection in her words. I have lived through seasons where simply getting out of bed felt like an uphill battle. Seasons where the future felt invisible. During those times, faith wasn’t loud or dramatic. Faith looked like getting up anyway:
- One quiet step at a time.
- One whispered prayer at a time.
- One intentional day at a time.
Understanding the Journey: The Blueprint of Purpose
Every morning that we wake up is another gift. Another chance to grow. Another opportunity to love well, learn something new, encourage someone, or take one more step toward the life God is calling us to build. While building FemiLux Éra, there have been many ordinary days. Days filled with work, responsibilities, and moments when the vision seemed much bigger than my current reality. Yet those ordinary days have been where most of the progress has happened.
| When Faith Feels Quiet | Living in Active Alignment |
| Waiting until you feel completely ready or certain before taking a step. | Placing your feet on the ground and trusting God with the very next move. |
| Overthinking the entire blueprint and letting uncertainty paralyze your day. | Accepting that today’s grace is entirely sufficient for today’s troubles. |
| Feeling heavy, isolated, and wondering if your quiet obedience is being seen. | Recognizing that as long as you have breath, your divine assignment is still active. |
If we wait until we feel completely ready, we may spend years standing still. Faith invites us to move before we can see the entire path.
✨ Two Versions, One Journey: Listen to the Music
When this connection happened, I didn’t just create one track. I ended up creating two completely distinct versions of the song because faith always has more than one viewpoint. I invite you to pause, grab your headphones, and experience both sides of this beautiful creative connection:
1. My Reflection (The Shared Mirror)
This is the version written from my point of view, reflecting on how her words met me right where I was in my own journey.

This is the version created as a direct gift back to her, utilizing her exact words and lyrics to honor her personal story.

When you are stepping out into a new era of growth and trying to navigate the messy middle of a transition, use these truths to anchor your mind:
2 Corinthians 5:7 — “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Walking by faith doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means refusing to let what we currently see become the only thing that shapes our decisions. We trust that God is leading even when we can’t yet see the destination.
Joshua 1:9 — “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Notice that God didn’t promise Joshua every detail of the journey before telling him to move forward. He promised His presence. Sometimes that’s exactly what we need most.
Reflective Journal Prompts
Grab your journal, light a grounding candle to clear the noise, and sit quietly with these questions this week:
- Where am I overcomplicating my walk? Am I refusing to move forward simply because God has only given me light for the next step rather than the entire blueprint?
- What does “feet on the ground” faith look like for me tomorrow morning? If I lay down the heavy pressure to fix or control my circumstances, what is one soft, intentional choice I can make to trust God’s timing?
- Am I searching for public validation or resting in my purpose? How can I remind myself today that my value isn’t tied to how fast I reach the destination, but how faithfully I honor the season I am currently in?
Let’s Connect ✨
Have you ever experienced a season where faith felt less like a loud shout and more like a quiet choice to just get out of bed and try again? How do you practice the discipline of moving forward when the path ahead isn’t clear?
